Rangers sign £5.5m Monaco defender and Leeds United icon

Using Football Manager 2024, we projected three years ahead of time to observe the Ibrox club’s performance and new player acquisitions.

Early access to Football Manager 2024 is now available on Steam, and players of the well-liked game are already getting into the most recent version.

The series, which is already more than 30 years old, allows players to take control of their favourite clubs and try to lead them to previously unheard-of levels of success thanks to an amazing global database of clubs, players, and staff. We used the new game to simulate three years in the future and saw how clubs in Scotland and the rest of the world had fared, just for fun.


It’s realistic to assume that Rangers supporters will be content with their team’s performance throughout the upcoming seasons. Here’s how our simulation depicted the Rangers beginning XI at the end.

1. Jack Butland, GK
has missed just two league games over the previous three seasons, with Robbie McCrorie serving as backup.

2. Stuart Dallas, RB
The adaptable Leeds United legend, who joined on a free transfer one season prior, has replaced the retiring James Tavernier, who will retire in 2026, at the age of 35.

3. Guilherme Arana, LB
The Brazilian international was signed by AC Milan for £12.5 million in 2025 from ATM, but he only made 16 appearances in Serie A before being loaned to Ibrox.

4. Connor Goldson, or CB
After Tavernier retired, the new Rangers captain and a constant mainstay at the back
