Rochdale Hornets send their congratulations to everyone at Rochdale AFC following yesterday’s announcement that the football club will be sold to a trust set up by local businessman and entrepreneur Sir Peter Ogden and his family.
Rochdale and the Ogden family hold great significance for Sir Peter and his family.
Along with existing chairman Simon Gauge, Cameron Ogden will become a co-chairman of the board of directors. Jamie Willoughby and Adam Saul will also become directors of the board. Adam and Jamie are both employed for the Ogden Family company.
“We are delighted for everyone connected with Rochdale AFC and send our congratulations to the Ogden family on their acquisition of the majority shareholding of the football club,” chairman Andy Mazey said in a statement regarding the announcement.
“I want to congratulate Simon and his colleagues on what is an amazing result, and I would like to thank Simon for keeping me informed throughout the process.
“We anticipate what we believe will be a bright future for sport in Rochdale, and the development of a prosperous and strategic relationship moving forward.”
