Fans of Dale have the opportunity to significantly advance their careers by taking advantage of excellent, free training at the Crown Oil Arena.
More than 200 jobless individuals in Rochdale have already benefited from the chance to advance their abilities, and hundreds more are expected to do the same.
In partnership with Greater Manchester Combined Authority, leading training provider Realise is offering fully financed Adult Education Budget (AEB) vocational training to residents of the community.
Enrollment in classes is open to anyone over 19 who resides in Rochdale, Oldham, or Bury who is unemployed.
With 208 students taking advantage of the chance to improve their abilities in Rochdale alone, Realise has seen a great deal of interest in its array of programmes; some of those students have already found jobs.
Functional skills in math and English, warehousing and logistics, an introduction to early childhood education, occupational hairdressing, cleaning, mental health first aid, digital skills, licenced security officer, licenced event steward, and employability skills are among the programmes offered.
The goal of these courses is to assist people in Greater Manchester in finding work, according to Dan Goodall, Operations Director for Adult Learning at Realise.
All of our AEB courses have had a great uptake in Rochdale, and as a direct result, people—some of whom had been unemployed for a long time—have already been able to get employment. In fact, two new employees have joined the Realise team.
“To make sure we are meeting the needs of the local economy, we collaborate closely with the Job Centre in the area. Additionally, we have effectively established alliances with significant local employers, such as supermarkets, housebuilders, and logistics firms, which allow us to comprehend market demands and connect qualified candidates with relevant local openings.
“It’s really thrilling to be able to provide people with opportunities to upskill and change their lives in the long run.”
Additionally, AEB courses are offered in Bury at Gigg Lane Stadium and Oldham at Earl Business Centre. Over the duration of the 12-month contract, a total of slightly over 1,600 people—666 in Rochdale, 453 in Bury, and 519 in Oldham—will receive training across Greater Manchester.
Successful completion of all programmes leads to the acquisition of nationally recognised Level One and Level Two credentials.
Realise is a top training provider in the nation, working with over 1,000 employers and over 10,000 students annually in adult education and apprenticeship programmes.
