Blackpool aren’t the only club who have been credited with an interest in the National League forward though, with Bristol Rovers, Carlisle United, Exeter City, Shrewsbury Town and Wycombe Wanderers also mentioned as potential suitors.
Rodney, 25, has previously played football for Walsall, Port Vale, and Salford City.
Here are three options that the Tangerines ought to think about.
Will Evans
This summer, Newport County will have to fight to contain the attacker. Since joining the Exiles in 2022, Evans has played a pivotal role. In 105 appearances, he has scored 29 goals, 25 of which have came this season.
Before joining his current team, the 26-year-old played for Cardiff Metropolitan University and Bala Town. Blackpool could consider taking a chance on him, since he would enhance their upper-level possibilities.
Lee Bonis
He has been Larne’s most productive player recently, and he was a major factor in their first-ever NIFL Premiership last year. This season, the 24-year-old has found the net 28 times.
Although the Portadown native’s contract expires in2026, it wouldn’t be shocking if English teams showed greater interest in him during the upcoming transfer window. The Belfast Telegraph reports that Lincoln City is interested, but the Seasiders ought to give it their best go.
Harry Caldwell
Blackpool should give the former Reading, Hull City, and Grimsby Town player a look. Since relocating to Roots Hall in 2022, he has been a key member of Southend United’s fifth-tier team.
Caldwell has scored 22 goals with the Shrimps in his 62 games thus far. According to Football Insider, the Seasiders should get in line behind Bolton Wanderers, Oxford United, and Rotherham United because they all like him.
