Rochdale Football Club are saddened to learn of the passing of Life Vice President Rod Brierley.
Mr Brierley had two spells on the Club’s Board of Directors, between 1966-1976 and 1987-2008.
He worked closely with David Kilpatrick and Graham Morris, amongst others, to secure the future of the Club in the late 1980s.
He passed away peacefully last weekend following a long illness.
The thoughts of everyone at the Club are with his family and friends at this sad time, and we send our condolences to them.
There will be a minute’s applause ahead of our match against Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday, in memory of Mr Brierley.
