Disappointing as Richardson says: We can’t start *

Leam Richardson, the head coach of Rotherham United, stated that nothing occurred this afternoon caught him off guard.

After Southampton Leam defeated them two goals at home, Leam, who is arguably one of the top teams in the league, stated, “You expect a healthy challenge but the start of the game was disappointing,” in an interview with Radio Sheffield. We gave them a boost in front of their supporters when we conceded at a set-play three or four minutes in, so it took us around twenty minutes to collect ourselves.

“Southampton has brought some amazing international players with them, but you need to compete for the entire game, just like we did in the second half.” We weren’t there for the first twenty or thirty minutes. We are unable to begin.

In the second half, we made better decisions and interacted with each other more on the pitch. You’ll run into issues if you continue to give the ball away as we did in the first half. However, we could have caused them trouble if we had taken better care of the ball. We were able to reach several excellent sections lacking the last touch of quality.

Many of the boys there are studying with one another. In order to progress as a team, we must work hard, be consistent in both our on- and off-field actions, and

Three players were added by the Millers on Thursday, but only Femi Seriki saw action today. The other two were benched. Questioned Leam responded, “We did a lot of work on Tuesday and Thursday regarding Southampton and they didn’t come in until late Thursday so didn’t train until Friday,” when asked if he thought it was too early to bring them into the team. Additionally, I believe that it is unjust to include the boys and that it is crucial that they observe what we are doing since it will be beneficial to them. Ed Note: After seeing that first half, I bet they all want to “go home.”

It appears that Cohen Bramall’s ankle ligament damage will keep him out of action for several weeks, as he was unable to play today. We can only hope that he recovers quickly.

We did improve in the second half; we were faster (the first half was a bit “plodding”), won more possession of the ball, made more tackles, and didn’t make as many mistakes. However, it is how we truly need to start. Additionally, we had shots on goal—a change from the previous several weeks.

Can I also just say that I thought referee Sunny Sukhvir Gill played a really nice game? I won’t, however, be mentioning the official who was on the family stand, who I didn’t believe played a very good game.
