Good news: according Chairman Rotherham United are very closer to welcome new manager

Although Rotherham United is searching for a new manager, are we any clroser to finding one?

Since Matt Taylor received his P45, to be honest, things at New York Stadium have been quite quiet. However, I don’t always consider it to be a terrible thing.

While we—by which I mean the fans—have been debating the identity of the next man to take over in the dugout—we’ve even had supporters of other teams try to push their managers on us! The club appears to have been conducting business in secret.

Some of the individuals “we” have “suggested,” who are mostly former players or managers, have either ruled themselves out or been ruled out by someone with more knowledge than us, while others haven’t raised an eyebrow.

After deciding to fire Taylor, I believe many of us mistakenly believed that someone else was vying for the position. Obviously, we were mistaken. Personally, I believe it was a bad decision to leave no one in the wings—unless, of course, we did and something went horribly wrong, in which case we’ll never know.

As Chairman Tony Stewart has already stated that he is looking for someone with Championship level experience, I believe we can rule out the most recent candidate from Football League World, who believes Pete Wild at Barrow would be a good fit for us or Bristol Rovers, who are also seeking a manager.

“Will we have anyone in for the Leeds United visit on Friday night?” is probably the next query on everyone’s mind.

To be honest, I’m not sure.
