LINDSAY pens down emotional message to fans as he is set to leave

It was confirmed that the Scot had been offered a new contract by boss Steve Evans when the club’s retained list was confirmed following the conclusion of the 2023/24 campaign, but following lengthy discussions between the two parties, Lindsay has opted to pursue a new challenge elsewhere.

To the amazing fans, staffs, management and the whole arena, it’s hard to bid you guys farewell because you guys are amaizing and had become part of my live, its one of the toughest decision of my career. You guys will forever remain in my heart.

Lindsay arrived in South Yorkshire from Ross County in July 2019 and has played a significant role in the club’s successes in the five years that have followed.

Ranking among the highlights for the energetic midfielder are promotion from Sky Bet League One in 2021/22 which was coupled with the achievement of the club getting its hands on the Papa Johns Trophy in the same year, before he was involved in keeping the Millers in the second tier a season later.

The Rutherglen-born operator turned out over 150 times in Rotherham United colours between 2019 and 2024 and will leave the club with the thanks and best wishes of everyone at AESSEAL New York Stadium.
