If Rotherham could bring Lang to South Yorkshire, he would be a striking addition.
This month, Football Insider has also revealed that Derby County and Portsmouth, two teams vying for third-tier promotions, are interested in signing him.
Throughout the first half of this season, he has made 23 appearances across all competitions, contributing two goals and two assists.
After attending Liverpool’s academy as a young player, the attacker joined his present club and progressed through the North West team’s ranks.
Before making his debut in the first team, Lang spent time on loan at Morecambe, Oldham Athletic, Shrewsbury Town, and Motherwell, all from the Latics.
Since then, the Liverpool player has participated in 143 games overall, scoring 31 goals and providing 18 assists. In 2018 and 2022, he assisted Wigan in being promoted to the Championship.
In the Championship, Rotherham is fighting to avoid relegation and could use some reinforcements before the transfer window closes.
Richardson would be a great acquisition because he is well-versed in Lang’s history from their time together at Wigan. It’s unclear, though, if they will ever connect again.
