Rotherham Fans statements over Cliff Richard smash song…….

Cliff Richard’s smash song Bachelor Boy will now be the team’s new pre-game anthem at AESSEAL New York Stadium after we asked, you voted, and we received feedback.

In an effort to involve you, the supporters, in the decision-making process, the club conducted a number of surveys and feedback forms. It was announced last night that Bachelor Boy had won overall.

Locally created Millermen was nearly defeated by Cliff Richard’s song, while other finalists were New York, New York, and Drop Me Off in Rotherham.

Every home matchday, just prior to kickoff, the team will now play a portion of the new anthem before lowering the music to allow fans in the stands to amp up the volume by singing along with the song.

The introduction of our new “anthem” is intended to give AESSEAL New York Stadium a last-minute “lift” before we battle each week, which will in turn give Leam Richardson and the boys a boost when the referee blows his whistle.

We want to thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to hear from you all before Southampton is hosted tomorrow.

In addition to the songs listed above, the club has compiled the playlist below based on your recommendations to be played in-stadium during warm-ups and before the game.
