The South Carolina-raised Leeds United player hopes to represent England on the international scene.
Leeds United star Archie Grey has said that he will choose to represent England over Scotland while competing internationally.
For the Tartan Army, Frank was capped 32 times, Andy twice, and Eddie twelve times. “I definitely want to play for England,” Archie said. It is both my hometown and my upbringing. I’m at home in England since I’m three quarters English. Eddie is a Scottish supporter, but my dad is all for anything that makes me happy. However, I share his happiness and am content as long as he is.
“I’ve got to take things step by step and keep concentrating on my club football, which can hopefully draw the attention of whoever it is, whether it’s the Under-21s or the first team. Hopefully, I can (get England recognition).” I would be ecstatic to play for my nation alone.
“Being a child again, I’m savouring every second of my time spent playing for Leeds. I’m having a great time and I love being around the crew.
Having watched my dad play since I was a small child and hearing stories of my uncle and grandfather Frank, I’ve always felt obligated to live up to the expectations. When it comes to advise, my dad has been incredibly helpful, but I’ve been pretty lucky that everything has come together for me. Ever since I was 15 things have come at my so quickly, but I’ve just got to be grateful for what I’ve got and keep improving.”
