Murder probe launched after man’s death in Seacroft

Just after 9:05 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14, officers were called to reports of an assault on Rosgill Drive, Seacroft, Leeds.

A man who was not conscious was discovered laying in the centre of the road.

The man, in his 40s, had severe head injuries and was rushed to the hospital by ambulance. This afternoon, he passed away.

Rosgill Drive is still the location of an ongoing investigation by police.

Three men, two of whom are 38 years old and one of whom is 36, have been detained after being arrested in relation to the incident.

“Detectives are piecing together the circumstances that led to this tragic death,” stated Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Holdsworth of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team.

“I would strongly encourage anyone who witnessed the assault or who knows more about the circumstances around it to get in touch with our investigative team.”
