Detectives detained the couple on suspicion of attempted murder and offences involving guns.
In relation to the Monday, July 15, incident in Mardale Crescent, Seacroft, that came to police attention after a 34-year-old man visited the hospital with a bullet wound to his face, a 32-year-old male is still being held. He was detained on Tuesday.
Following his arrest on Wednesday in relation to the incident, a 36-year-old man has since been released while an investigation is ongoing.
In connection with the Mardale Crescent incident, both males were detained on suspicion of attempted murder. They were also detained on suspicion of possessing a firearm with the purpose to endanger life in connection with an incident that occurred on Thursday, May 9, in Hawkins Drive, Woodhouse, and is currently being investigated.
The investigation is being led by detectives from the West Yorkshire Police Major Enquiry and Homicide Unit.
There are still several scenes at several residences in Leeds, and investigations are ongoing.
