In honour of Women’s History Month, Sounders and the RAVE Foundation are thrilled to collaborate with the Northwest African American Museum (NAAM)! For the first 200 fans to arrive to NAAM wearing Sounders FC apparel or colours, admission is free. Join us on Saturday, March 30 for a day of celebration and education.
For children ages 3 to 7, Sounders and RAVE will be hosting a First Kicks football class. There will also be a free book and ball giveaway for the younger audience! Come see Sounders programming at 1:30 PM.

10:30 AM | Film – Pele
Fans can enter for free throughout the day, but from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM, there will be special programmes. The day will start with the full-length movie Pele!
We encourage you to visit the food truck, Swagg-N-Wagon, which is owned by Black and Woman, that will be on site after the movie. Remember to post your receipt to Intentionalist for a chance to win Sounders stuff!
1:00 PM | Storytime – Happy Like Soccer
Come join NAAM for an engaging storytime featuring a special guest reader for children in elementary school.
1:30 PM | First Kicks Clinic and Books & Balls
Working together on our Books & Balls programme once more excites us! On Sounders Day, young people who attend will receive a free book from NAAM and a free football from RAVE Foundation. The books that will be given away in honour of Women’s History Month will tell stories about Black girls and women from the perspectives of Black female authors and illustrators.
Additionally, children from 3 to 7 years old will be able to take part in the First Kicks clinic hosted by the RAVE Foundation. Designed in accordance with the Washington State Learning Standards, this curriculum gives carers the means to assist young learners in developing their motor skills and cognitive abilities while utilising a football. The clinic’s first fifty children to sign up will also receive a free RAVE Foundation soccer ball to take home!
3:30 PM | Film – Alive & Kicking
The day’s events will conclude with a screening of the movie Alive & Kicking: The Soccer Grannies of South Africa and a raffle for an autographed Sounders FC jersey, into which every guest will be entered.
