Later this month, Alana Cook, Jordyn Huitema, and Quinn will compete in the inaugural CONCACAF W Gold Cup.

In a few weeks, the 2024 CONCACAF W Gold Cup will begin, and three players from Seattle Reign FC will be competing. The national teams of the United States, Canada, and Australia have called up Alana Cook (USA), Jordyn Huitema (Canada), and Quinn (Canada) to compete in the event, which starts on Tuesday, February 20 and ends on Sunday, March 10. The tournament’s broadcast arrangements are still pending.

This tournament’s inaugural edition features eight CONCACAF teams and four CONMEBOL teams. It essentially functions as a Women’s CONCACAF Nations League competition, with games taking place in four different stadiums: Snapdragon Stadium (San Diego), Dignity Health Sports Park (Carson, CA), BMO Stadium (Los Angeles), and Shell Energy Stadium (Houston).

Cook was called up by temporary US coach Twila Kilgore for the competition. The US is grouped alongside Mexico, Argentina, and the victor of Guyana vs. Dominican Republic in group A. On Tuesday, February 20, the United States will play the Dominican Republic or Guyana in their CONCACAF opener.

Along with Costa Rica, Paraguay, and the victor of El Salvador vs. Guatemala in the qualifying round, Canada starts their CONCACAF campaign in Group C. The opening match for Bev Priestman’s group will be on Thursday, February 22 at Shell Energy Stadium in Houston, against either El Salvador or Guatemala.
