Air ambulance attends scene of ghastly crash in Bowness On Windermere as rescue team struggle to save victims

There are currently two distinct collisions in Sedbergh that emergency services are responding to.

According to South Lakes Police, one happened outside the Sedbergh SPAR store, necessitating the closure of the road and the arrival of the air ambulance service.

Two cars were involved in the second accident on New Bridge, which at first prevented traffic on the A684 to Frostrow.

Here, the road was blocked, but it’s now open.

According to a South Lakes Police spokesperson, “Please take care and slow down if passing this location as we await recovery.”
