Ambulance and mountain rescue team dispatched after paraglider crash near Sheffield

A paraglider crashed at a secluded beauty spot in the Peak District, close to Sheffield, triggering the dispatch of emergency personnel.

Following an emergency call to Derbyshire Police, a team from Edale Mountain rescue was deployed to the area.
The maintain rescue crew first provided pain medication to the included flyer before beginning the process of transporting him to an ambulance.
In a statement, Edale Mountain Rescue said: “We were contacted by Derbyshire Police to respond to reports of a paraglider that had crashed around the Cowper Stone end of Stanage.
The pilot was injured in his lower legs after a hard landing, according to an insider.

“The first team members quickly located the casualty who wasn’t too far from the road and provided pain relief before packaging them on an MR stretcher and bringing them down to a waiting East Midlands ambulance.”

They stated that the collision occurred around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 26.
