Sacad Ali murder detectives make third arrest after Sheffield stabbing

A woman has been arrested in connection with the murder of Sacad Ali

In relation to the stabbing death of Sacad Ali on Saturday (March 9) in a Sheffield park, police have made a third arrest.

On Saturday morning, Sacad Ali, 24, passed away in the city’s Ponderosa Park in the Netherthorpe neighbourhood. Following the initiation of an inquiry into his death, three individuals have been detained on suspicion of murder.

After two teenage boys, ages sixteen and seventeen, were detained yesterday, a 25-year-old lady is the third person to be taken into custody. Right now, all three are still being held by the police.

The Senior Investigating Officer in this matter, Detective Chief Inspector Ben Wood, stated: “I personally want to thank the local community for their patience and understanding. Following Sacad’s death, there will continue to be high visibility patrols in and around Ponderosa Park.

“Although we have already made three arrests, we are still interested in speaking with anyone who may have seen or heard something strange around Sacad’s death or who lives in the neighbourhood. For the sake of Sacad’s loved ones, I beg you to get in contact with us if you have any information, no matter how minor or inconsequential it may appear.
