Sheffield: A man on Manchester Road is fighting for his life following a terrifying collision.
Following a horrifying collision on a main Sheffield road on Thursday (February 29), a young man is fighting for his life in the hospital. Following the collision, Manchester Road between Deepcar and Wharncliffe Side was closed by South Yorkshire Police.
According to a statement released by the police, the individual who was in the automobile is seriously injured and in the hospital; they are asking drivers to avoid the area. They stated: “We received a call this morning at 11:26 a.m. regarding a single car collision in Sheffield.
“A red Vauxhall Astra is said to have struck a wall on Manchester Road close to More Hall Lane. When police, fire, and air ambulance personnel arrived, a 21-year-old male with potentially fatal injuries was brought to the hospital and is still in critical condition.
“We are still on the scene conducting investigations, and Manchester Road is still blocked in both directions near the intersection of More Hall Lane. The public is urged to stay away from the area and make appropriate travel plans.”
