Sheffield Wednesday ‘agree’ deal and target another as transfer window opens

Osh Windass has reportedly rejected a new contract at Sheffield Wednesday and will leave on a free transfer this month. The former Rangers man has made 135 appearances for the Owls, scoring 40 goals in that time. He netted twice in his 25 outings last season, as Danny Rohl kept Wednesday in the Championship. But, it looks like Windass will be moving on this summer, with Hull City and Coventry City the two clubs credited with interest

Wednesday is being connected to a deal for Myles Peart-Harris, an offensive midfielder for Brentford. During his second half of the previous season, the 21-year-old scored a pair of goals while on loan at Portsmouth. He also spent a stint in the 2022–2023 season at Forest Green Rovers. The Owls are still “keeping tabs” on the player after being linked to a move in January. In other news, it’s said that Rohl’s team and SCO Angers have reached an agreement to sign Yan Valery, a former Southampton defender.

Midfielder Connor Barron is reportedly attracting interest from Stoke City, Plymouth Argyle, and Cardiff City. Rangers are reportedly making an offer to the 21-year-old, and rivals Celtic are also reportedly considering a transfer. It is currently alleged that Italy and the Championship are interested. Barron began his career with Aberdeen and has made 73 appearances there. In 29 appearances during the previous season, the midfielder assisted on three goals and scored one.
