The Blades given boost to sign target – New director ready to offload player

Besiktas are ready to offload Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer, and the former Liverpool and Arsenal player has been linked with a move to Sheffield United in recent weeks

According to a report published today by Takvim, Brad Friedel, the team’s new sporting director, wants to buy and sell during this transfer window. Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly planning to return home after his first season in Turkey was not very successful.

Once more, it’s said Sheffield United is keeping an eye on the 30-year-old attacking midfielder’s circumstances in Istanbul and is interested in signing him.
According to reports, Besiktas is considering Angel Di Maria of Benfica, who is thought to be the perfect alternative to Oxlade-Chamberlain.

We reported last week that Southampton and Fulham are also vying for the player’s services, so Sheffield United could anticipate competition for his services.

During the previous season, Oxlade-Chamberlain made 30 appearances for the Super Lig team and netted four goals. His deal with the team expires in June 2026.
