Cameron Archer, a striker for Sheffield United, is scheduled to visit Aston Villa again in the summer. The Villans are expected to activate a buy-back clause when the Blades are relegated from the Premier League.
According to Football Insider, United paid almost £18 million for the 22-year-old back in the summer, with a buy-back clause in his contract if the team was to be relegated.
Due to this, Archer is expected to re-sign for £14 million with Aston Villa at the end of the current campaign, per Football Insider. In essence, Sheffield United has paid a £4 million loan fee for his services, and during that period, he has scored four goals in 27 Premier League games.

The former England youth international’s future is unknown, but one thing is certain: in order to improve their prospects of winning promotion back to the Premier League, the Blades would ideally like to keep him at Bramall Lane past the summer.
During his loan stints at Middlesbrough and Preston North End, Archer has made 40 Championship appearances and contributed 25 goals (18 goals).
Due to the numerous injury concerns involving Rhian Brewster and Oli McBurnie, Chris Wilder may have to rely on rookies Will Osula, Daniel Jebbison, and Louie Marsh for the upcoming season. Naturally, that assumes McBurnie and Jebbison—whose free agency is still pending—stay with the team past the summer. There is an urgent need to address the forward line depth in the upcoming transfer window.
