Danny Rohl sends one-word message to Owls fans after win against Rotherham United’

Sheffield Wednesday earned another crucial three points yesterday, beating rivals Rotherham United 1-0 at the New York Stadium.

Akin Famewo appeared to have had his goal incorrectly disallowed for offside in the first half, depriving the Owls of it.

But in the second half, Sheffield Wednesday’s Ike Ugbo scored his sixth goal in eight Championship games to maintain a strong lead in the race for survival.

The Owls are three points from safety after yesterday’s victories by QPR over Leicester City and Stoke City over Middlesbrough.

Danny Rohl shares social media message after Rotherham United win

Fans of Sheffield Wednesday adore Rohl.

And for good reason—his team has won three straight games and four of their past five games, giving the Owls a real shot to survive this season.

There are still plenty of reasons to be happy of Sheffield Wednesday’s current accomplishments, even when the teams surrounding them are also winning.

Fans will also enjoy Rohl’s most recent Instagram message:

‘Togetherness’ at Sheffield Wednesday

Rohl begins repairing the rift between Sheffield Wednesday supporters and their team from the opening minute.

In addition to leaving the team at the bottom of the standings and helpless in the struggle for survival, Xisco Munoz’s terrible reign severely damaged the relationship between the club and its supporters.

Although owner Dejphon Chansiri’s antics undoubtedly contributed, Munoz’s carefree attitude and merely inadequate tactical awareness left supporters with little optimism.

But Rohl has filled in that gap.

After the squad’s opening few games, no one would have predicted that Sheffield Wednesday would win three straight this season. However, he has the team playing some really good football and, most importantly, winning games.

Furthermore, Rohl has developed a close relationship with his followers, as evidenced by the “togetherness” he portrays online.

This weekend, Sheffield Wednesday will host Plymouth Argyle at Hillsborough.

The Green Army has only won once in their previous six league games, and they are presently 16th in the Championship table following their 2-0 loss to Ipswich Town today.

With only 12 points earned on the road this season, they rank 22nd in the away form table and are among the worst travelling teams in the division, sitting only two points above the drop zone.
