Whether they stay in the Championship or not, Sheffield Wednesday will have a busy summer ahead of them.
With two games remaining, Sheffield Wednesday is now in 21st place in the Championship league following a 3-1 victory against Blackburn Rovers last time out.
And now, with all the momentum at their disposal, Danny Rohl’s team is beginning to have a good chance of winning the championship.
All agree, however, that the work is far from finished.
Sheffield Wednesday has two big games coming up. The first is on Saturday against West Brom in front of a sold-out Hillsborough crowd.

Rohl’s remarks during his news conference on Thursday were really intriguing.
He talked about the upcoming summer and the necessity for adjustments. If those adjustments are done, he and the club may begin discussing the next course of action.
In essence, Rohl appeared to be informing Dejphon Chansiri, the club’s owner, that he must implement some improvements this summer, most likely to the facilities and other things, before Rohl commits to Sheffield Wednesday for the long run.
Additionally, Rohl will undoubtedly be watching the playing team.
Despite the fact that his future at the team is still very much in doubt, he will undoubtedly be considering the first team’s situation after this season, as many players are expected to depart in the summer.
Ian Poveda is among them.
However, Rohl, or whoever takes over the next time, ought to make every effort to bring him back permanently.

Sheffield Wednesday is managing without loan player Poveda from Leeds United.
That being said, he is still a significant miss at this point.
Since joining the team on deadline day in February, he has started eight games for Wednesday; the Owls have won six of them and lost two.
In addition, despite the fact that he made just ten appearances and only managed one assist and zero goals, he was a huge asset to the club overall and a threat to opposing defences.
He provided Sheffield Wednesday with a level of deceit and surprise that they had not seen in a player in a while.
He can also play in a variety of positions along the attacking midfield trio, which makes him Rohl’s ideal player. Rohl will probably wish he could just throw in the towel and fire Poveda right now.
Whether he appears again this season is still up in the air.
And with Leeds United slated to release the Colombian international this summer, that puts him in a contentious situation.
Poveda, 24, is apparently eager to return to Sheffield Wednesday as a permanent player in the summer, and if Rohl remains and the Owls advance, it would seem like a wise option for Poveda.
After a very difficult few years for him, he has played some of his greatest football in S6.
Wednesday shouldn’t think twice about permanently adding Poveda this summer, despite his injury issues.
