Sheffield Wednesday manager, Danny Röhl, says that he isn’t happy about the timing of Leeds United’s first goal tonight
Patrick Bamford and Willy Gnonto scored goals to help the Whites defeat the Owls 2-0 on Friday night; however, the first goal came in the 50th minute of the first half, even though there were only four minutes allotted.
Röhl was candid in his evaluation of the match, acknowledging Leeds’ strength as they prevailed. However, he also brought up a few other decisions that had gone against his team in previous games, citing Ian Poveda’s against Plymouth Argyle and Akin Famewo’s against Rotherham United.
The Owls manager responded to a question regarding the game’s first goal by saying, “It was a key point.” Naturally, he displayed four minutes, and then four more. Everyone is free to consider whether or not this is a crucial moment. I’m not at all content right now.Our goal was to enter at zero-zero at halftime. I won’t go into too much detail regarding some choices. However, looking back at Rotherham, we won and nobody mentioned that we scored and it was onside.
“We scored at home against Plymouth, and it was onside… We won, so nobody discussed this. Once more, a decision may have been made against us, but since this is football, we may discuss it today have to take it and keep going.”
