This season, the Owls boast two highly promising young goalkeepers, significantly improving their situation in this position compared to the previous year, prior to their initial acquisition of James Beadle from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The England under-21 international has once again solidified his status as the primary goalkeeper at Hillsborough. Wednesday manager Danny Rohl acknowledged this following Charles’s commendable performance against Brentford in the EFL Cup; however, some observers feel that having the Northern Irishman on the bench represents an underutilization of his talent.
Premier League clubs are showing interest in Pierce Charles. According to The Star, at least three teams from the top division have been present at his matches, both for his club and national team. His potential transfer is not merely a future consideration; it could materialize in the upcoming transfer window.
