A video of Sheffield Wednesday manager Danny Rohl at Barry Bannan’s charity event last night has emerged on social media.
Barry Bannan was appointed as the new ambassador of The Children’s Hospital Charity in Sheffield earlier this year, before it was announced that he would kick off his new role with a fundraising event at Mercure St Paul’s Hotel & Spa on Sunday evening.
The event was hosted by Steve Bracknall, holding Q&As with a number of current and former Sheffield Wednesday players, including first-team stars, Dominic Iorfa, Josh Windass, Liam Palmer, Cameron Dawson, Callum Paterson, Michael Smith and Will Vaulks.
Jon McClure of Reverend and the Makers put on a musical performance, while guests were also treated to a three-course meal.
As well as welcoming the current crop of Owls who have now won four of their last five games, Danny Rohl was welcomed to the venue by the excited attendees.
As the German coach entered the event, ‘Daddy Cool’ by Boney M. was played out of the speakers, with supporters and players singing and clapping to ‘Danny Rohl’ on their feet.
