Paul Hurst gives hope to Shrewsbury outcasts*

Paul Hurst insists the door is not closed for the Shrewsbury Town players currently not involved in the matchday squad.

Joe Anderson was left off of the 18-man roster for Paul Hurst’s first game in charge against Northampton. Afterwards, Anderson was not present when Noahn Kenneh, Max Mata, and Tunmise Sobowale played against Cambridge on Saturday.

The head coach of Town claims that the choices are “not personal” and that there is still “door open” for them to return.

“I am going to have to offend some people, but it is not personal,” he declared. They will understand that it is personal if a circumstance like that arises, and we will have those conversations.

“But right now, I have more ability to make changes for the team or myself, whether it’s through someone returning to the game or having those options from the bench.” While some players will regrettably miss out, there are still opportunities available to them.
