Threats to kill a South African rugby Player Ahead of England Clash-World Cup

Rassie Erasmus told of death threats sent to Cobus Reinach

Following his team’s victory against France, scrum-half Cobus Reinach got some disgusting threats. South Africa’s director of rugby, Rassie Erasmus, has spoken out about them.

South Africa defeated France by a single point last Sunday in Paris, 29–28, to secure a World Cup semifinal berth.

But after the victory, Erasmus said that Reinach, a player for Montpellier in France, had received several threats.

The text, which was scribbled in French, said, “Dirty son of a b****.” I hope you are killed by local French people when you travel back to Montpellier.

“Gang of thieves – easy to win a title by cheating.”

The caption on the photo of Reinach’s son that appeared after this message said, “Go and die.”

While it seems sense that Erasmus thought it was critical to point out the risks, he insisted that his squad move on.

Regretfully, Cobus Reinach was the target of these threats. “Seeing things like that said about their boy is not nice and it upsets a mum and dad,” he stated.

However, we won’t complain; instead, we’ll just go on.

Ben O’Keeffe, who officiated the Springboks’ victory over France, will officiate the match between South Africa and England on Saturday.

Erasmus said that Steve Borthwick, the England coach, will be pleased with the choice.

“I suppose it’s a bit of an unknown, either positive or negative,” he remarked.

“The squad that complies with the law and, ideally, avoids rugby mishaps that result in cards—though I believe Ben has excelled in that area—will benefit the most.

“I believe Borthwick will be just as happy (as us) if he officiates the game in that manner once more.”
