Southampton Agree new deal with premier league striker

According to the latest reports Saints & Burnley have agreed a deal for Manuel Benson, but after doing so the deal has stalled, despite reports that the player is keen to join Southampton.

Many media outlets reported yesterday that Burnley’s Manuel Benson was eager to join Saints. As a result, Burnley bit the bullet and got ready to speak with Saints after becoming enraged that we would not give them a cheap deal on Nathan Redmond.

However, as of right now, footballleagueworld.co.uk reports that the transfer is off because of unidentified problems.

According to the report, Southampton agreed to pay the Belgian’s full wages while he was at St Mary’s, in addition to paying a £1 million loan fee to sign him on loan for the remainder of the season.

The talks have encountered a roadblock, though, and it appears that the deal will not proceed. It is unclear if the problems stem from Burnley or from Benson personally, but in recent days, the majority of media outlets have reported that the player wants to join Saints, which is why the Turf Moor club is reversing their earlier position.
