Southampton are placing a Saints star in the team to get him in the shop window for the upcoming January transfer window, according to the club’s manager.
Russell Martin’s Southampton are suffering in the Premier League, having lost 2-0 away to Wolves before the international break, with Pablo Sarabia and Matheus Cunha scoring for Gary O’Neil’s side.
Martin brought on big striker Paul Onuachu in the closing stages of the game at Molineux, but it did not help Saints score.
The striker spent the entire previous season on loan at Trabzonspor, where he impressed, and the Turkish team expressed interest in signing the Saints player this summer, but a deal could not be reached.
