Southampton take ‘decisive steps’ to sign Juventus attacker in January

On Tuesday, we covered a claim from Italy that Southampton are ready to offer €30m for Juventus’ Matias Soulé, who is currently on loan at Frosinone.

The winger has managed six goals and one assist from 14 league matches this season and Frosinone sporting director Guido Angelozzi has revealed that “many” English clubs are following him.

Calciomercato relay his quotes and then focus on Southampton’s interest in the 20-year-old.

In order to strengthen their finances, Juventus would need to raise money, and they’re thinking about making a profit off of some of their young players, like Soulé, next month.
According to the report, Southampton is “above all” in the transfer race and has taken “decisive steps” to secure the player’s services, despite the fact that a number of English clubs are pursuing him.
The Saints’ position in the Championship may make it extremely difficult for them to persuade all parties to agree to a deal in January. According to the report, if a Premier League team made an offer, things might be different.

The Argentina U21 international was valued by The Old Lady at between €20 and €25 million during the most recent window. The operation is “ready to start,” according to Calciomercato, for a fee exceeding

Soulé has begun to view England “with interest,” but Juventus is holding off to see how this case plays out over the next few weeks.

Southampton might have an opportunity to close a deal in the winter market if they can persuade everyone.
