KNOCK-ON EFFECT NSW CUP

When the Dragons play the Rabbitohs on Saturday afternoon, they’ll be trying to snap a three-game losing streak.

Josh Ralph, Viliami Fifita, and Christian Tuipulotu are a few of the players Ben Woolf’s team is without.

After moving into the centres last week, captain Mathew Feagai has been named back at fullback. Jesse Marschke will start in the No. 6 jersey alongside Jonah Glover.

Ben Johnson, the team’s current Jersey Flegg Player of the Year, returns to the centre position, and Ryan Couchman is given a starting role in the front row.

Due to the club’s extensive injury list, a number of the Rabbitohs’ key players are out of commission.

Tallis Duncan, Matthew French, and Dion Teaupa were all given NRL jerseys after making an impression in the team’s most recent start loss to the Panthers.

Jarrett Subloo, the five-eighth, and Yileen Gordon, the front rower, are two of the team’s more seasoned players as they begin the match.

With three victories in eight games, the Dragons are ranked seventh in the competition.

Despite being level in the victory column, the Rabbitohs are two competition points ahead of the Red V since they have previously received two byes.

JERSEY FLEGG CUP

When the Dragons play the Rabbitohs on Saturday afternoon, Aaron Hertsch’s team will be trying to right the ship.

The Red V, who have dropped three of their last four games, have struggled in recent weeks with second half fadeouts.

Less than two weeks after the Dragons’ under-19 Grand Final victory, SG Ball star Loko Pasifiki Tonga is scheduled to make his first Jersey Flegg appearance of the season.

He follows in the footsteps of Steelers SG Ball players Hayden Buchanan and Lyhkan King-Togia, who were also honoured with Jersey Flegg nods in recent weeks.

Along with fellow NRL trainees Hamish Stewart and Nick Tsougranis, Jacob Webster and Jett Liu, who trained with the NRL squad during the summer, form a potent starting front row.

The team is led by Kyan Hjaltason at dummy-half, with Nick Quinn at fullback and Ashton Ward at No. 7.

With Dane Towns, Jack Field, Brent Hawkins, and Aiden Doolan in the starting lineup, the Rabbitohs are unaltered going into the game.

Thanks to Liam Le Blanc’s NSW Cup promotion, Noah Reed can now join Toby Sullivan in the front row, partnering with Louis Grossemy in the No. 13.

With five victories from their nine games, the Dragons are ranked sixth going into this matchup.

With four victories, three defeats, and a draw under their belt, the visitors are merely one position below.
