Man found dead and police close roads in st Helens

Following a man’s death, the police have released an update.

At 430 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, emergency personnel were summoned to the YMCA located on North Road in St Helens due to a complaint of a man in his 40s who was in need of medical attention. At the site, the individual was pronounced deceased, and his death was being investigated. Previously, a 52-year-old male and a 45-year-old woman were detained to be questioned after being apprehended on suspicion of murder. According to an update from Merseyside Police today, April 16, the two have been released on bail while additional investigation is conducted.

“We have arrested two people in connection with this incident, which is initially being treated as unexplained pending further inquiries,” stated Detective Inspector Steve Byrom.
