Police confirm dead and man charged after woman dies in two-car crash in St Helens

A woman died in a two-car collision, and a guy has been taken into custody.
At 19:00 GMT on Monday, according to Greater Manchester Police (GMP), a Mercedes that was “travelling on the opposing carriageway” and the woman’s Nissan collided on Bolton’s St Helens Road.
The 60-year-old woman passed away “from her injuries,” according to GMP, while the Nissan driver was gravely hurt. Hospital treatment was also required for the Mercedes driver.

A guy in his 30s has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of killing someone by driving recklessly, according to the force.
