A woman died in a two-car collision, and a guy has been taken into custody.
At 19:00 GMT on Wednesday, according to Greater Manchester Police (GMP), a Mercedes that was “travelling on the opposing carriageway” and the woman’s Nissan collided on Bolton’s St Helens Road.
The 60-year-old woman passed away “from her injuries,” according to GMP, while the Nissan driver was gravely hurt. Hospital treatment was also required for the Mercedes driver.
A guy in his 30s has reportedly been arrested on suspicion of killing someone by driving recklessly, according to the force.
Det. Cramer stated: “This is a tragic incident where someone has lost their life and we are supporting the families of those involved at this sad time.”
Police have filed appeals for any dashcam, CCTV, or mobile phone footage.
