St Mirren confirm signing of Elvis Bwomono on short term deal:

The 25-year-old Uganda international will be available to play from January 1.

St Mirren have completed the signing if Uganda international Elvis Bwomono on a short team deal.

The 25-year-old joins up with Stephen Robinson’s men until the end of the season with the club holding the option to extend by a further year.

The defender, who has spent the last few weeks training with the squad in Paisley, will be available for selection from January.

He began his professional career at Southend United where he made 132 appearances between 2017 and 2021.

After leaving the English side, Elvis moved to Icelandic outfit ÍBV in May 2022 and went on to play 48 times.

On completing the move he told StMirren.com “I’m delighted to join the club.
