Conor McMenamin, who sustained a patella tendon injury, will have surgery, the St. Mirren Football Club can confirm.

The 28-year-old had a pre-existing ailment that prevented him from playing through the discomfort last season, but it ultimately forced him to miss time. In order to contribute to our European qualifying, Conor went back into action in March.

The forward from Northern Ireland returned from international service with a recurrence of the ailment, so he did not come to our preseason training camp in Spain.

We hope for a full and quick recovery for Conor.
