Stockport murder: Teen charged with murder

An attempted murder accusation has been brought against a 14-year-old girl who is said to have brought a knife into a high school.
Four charges were scheduled to be brought against the adolescent, who is not allowed to be named for legal reasons, in Manchester Magistrates’ Court.
Greater Manchester Police said that the investigation is related to an incident that happened in Stockport on May 2.

Along with the attempted murder accusation, the child was also accused of making threats to harm the same complainant, a female.
at addition, she was accused of having a knife at a school, and now she is being prosecuted for having a knife in a public area on Stockport Road.

The teenager was remanded into custody.

Det Ch Insp Ian Wrench from Greater Manchester Police said: “I understand this news will cause concern amongst the community, but we will have local officers in the area in the coming days to offer reassurance.

“We continue to work closely with the local authority and partner agencies to ensure safeguarding measures are in place.”
