Tragedy as Young motorcyclist killed after crash in Stockport

A motorcyclist has died after a horror crash in Stockport.

Police were called to Hall Street in the Offerton area at around 4.30pm this afternoon (August 16) to reports of a collision.

The smash had occurred between a car and a motorbike.

Sadly, the rider of the motorcycle suffered ‘fatal injuries,’ police said.

No more details about the driver including their age or gender have been released.

As of right now, Hall Street is still blocked off near St Marys Way.

On Sunday afternoon, an air ambulance was seen making a landing close to the collision.

It is unclear if there were any other injuries sustained in the crash.

Numerous police cars are stationed at the entrance to the cordon, as seen in photos taken at the scene.
Inside the cordon, a badly damaged white car is visible, accompanied by a motorbike in close proximity.

A GMP representative stated: “On Friday, August 16, 2021, at about 14:42 hours, officers were called to a complaint of a traffic collision.

“Officers attended and established a collision had occurred between a car and a motorbike, sadly the rider of the motorbike suffered fatal injuries.”
