According to a report by Stoke  On TrentLive, Stoke City will evaluate Key Striker before their weekend match.

Returning to Championship play, Stoke City will travel to Ashton Gate to face Bristol City. The Potters fell to AFC Bournemouth 2-0 Thursday night in the Carabao Cup.

Burger, 22, chose not to play in the Dorset game. In the 3-1 home loss to Hull City on Saturday, he injured his hamstring.

He will reportedly be ‘examined’ over the coming days, according to StokeOnTrentLive. Alex Neil won’t want to take any chances in case they aggravate his ailment.

Stoke’s injury concerns
Stoke will be hoping that Burger can return to the field of play as soon as possible. In the center of the park, he offers them an additional selection.

To add further talent to their ranks, they swooped to get him from FC Basel over the summer. Since moving to England, the Dutchman has made six appearances across all leagues, five of which have been starts, and he has contributed with one goal.

He played three years with Basel, where he scored five goals in 76 games, before moving to the bet365 Stadium. Additionally, he has previously been listed on the rosters of Sparta Rotterdam, Excelsior, and Feyenoord.

The pressure is already mounting on Neil as he looks to lead his team up the table over the coming weeks and months given that Stoke have had a sluggish start to the new season and it is taking some time for their new players to gel together. They had a very busy summer on the transfer front and brought in a host of individuals from abroad.
