Stoke City confirms “extraordinary” stadium modifications in advance of Leeds United supporters’ visit.

In advance of Leeds United supporters arriving on Wednesday night, Stoke City has announced modifications to its stadium.

Prior to Leeds United supporters visiting their stadium on Wednesday night, Stoke City has announced modifications to its Bet365 Stadium. The Whites are hoping to build on their incredible comeback victory against Norwich City at Carrow Road last time out as they travel to the Potteries.

Now sitting in third position, Daniel Farke’s team is playing well, and they will be aiming to catch up to Leicester City and Ipswich Town by moving closer to the top two. Stoke will be an intriguing challenge, especially since it’s midweek. The Potters won their most recent game, but they haven’t had the greatest of seasons and are still solidly in the bottom half of the league.

Fortunately for Leeds, as is usually the case, they will have a sizable away fan base. Whites supporters have witnessed some incredible road performances this season; only three Championship teams have a better away record as of yet.

Nevertheless, the installation of a new lighting system at the Bet365

Stadium will provide Leeds supporters with an additional element of excitement on Wednesday, regardless of the outcome. However, some spectators have been advised to exercise caution. “Stoke City’s bet365 Stadium will host a lightshow prior to Wednesday night’s fixture against Leeds United,” the Potters said in a statement. About five minutes of intense entertainment with music and flashing lights will be provided by the show.

“Supporters are advised to take their seats by 7.40pm, 20 minutes prior to thescheduled kick-off, in order to watch it. Supporters with photosensitive disorders, sensitivities to strobe lighting or adverse reactions to flashing light are advised that they may wish to avoid being within the stadium bowl until the show has concluded. This will be shortly prior to the players emerging for an 8pm start.

In order to see it, supporters are asked to settle in by 7:40 p.m., or 20 minutes before the game is set to begin. It is suggested that those who suffer from photosensitive conditions, are sensitive to strobe lighting, or have negative responses to flashing light may want to stay out of the stadium bowl until the event is over. This will happen just before the players emerge for the 8 p.m. kickoff.
