Sunderland loanee handed tough verdict after Hibs clash..

The Australian relocated to Wearside from his own country, however he only played in two Championship games before going on loan to Scottish Premiership team Hibernian in late October.

Since then, the centre defender has played in two league games for the team, including last night’s home match against Scottish powerhouse Celtic.

However, Celtic won the match 2-1, and Triantis found it difficult to handle the current league leaders.

Nectarios Triantis struggling to adjust to the ‘madness of Scottish football’

Triantis, one of two centre backs, played the entire ninety minutes. According to Sofascore, he completed 35 out of 42 passes, which was second most on his team. He also won three of eight duels, recorded four clearances, and made one tackle.

However, the Edinburgh Evening News reviewed his performance that evening and scored him a 5 out of 10.

gave in to the penalty in a moment of haste. I wouldn’t say he’s adapted to Scottish football’s craziness very quickly.

Triantis has only played in four league games since the Mariners won the A-League Championship the previous season and he was chosen to the league’s Team of the Season. It appears that Triantis is having difficulty adjusting to the British game.

Time will tell with Sunderland youngster Triantis

The practice of Sunderland signing players from all around the world is one that is quite appreciated.

They searched the markets in South America and Australia for Jewison Bennette and Triantis, respectively, and they have also taken players from all around Europe.

While some have made an immediate impression, others have taken some time to adjust but are beginning to show promise.

Then there are some that have taken a little longer, such Triantis and maybe Bennette as well.

It will never be easy to go halfway around the world to start over, especially at such a young age and in a very different and chilly climate.

Although it hasn’t been easy for Triantis, it’s obvious that Sunderland believes he will win in the end, and he still has three years left on his contract to show it.
Though he will undoubtedly want to demonstrate his abilities to Michael Beale and Hibs supporters, there is no urgency.

On Saturday, his team plays its first Scottish Cup match against Inverness, and Sunderland hosts Plymouth Argyle at the Stadium of Light.
