A gifted youngster from Cheam has established himself in the baking community by being among the Junior Bake Off 2024 runners-up.
Junior Bake Off 2024: Meet runner up Max from CheamJunior chef Max Chow competed in the most recent season and made it to the finals.
In order to be considered for the show as possible candidates, 1,000 hopefuls participated in a pre-competition before summer 2023 filming got underway.
A junior chef was sent home every day, but 12-year-old Max stayed until he was chosen to be one of the sixteen junior chefs that would be featured on film.

After Max advanced to the final four.
“Max felt fantastic and was so excited when he found out he made it to the final,” Max’s mother, Louise Chow, stated.
When Louise learned of Max’s accomplishment, she expressed her excitement and pride, attributing it to his “great personality, friendliness, kindness, and excellent baking skills” that set him apart from the other competitors.
According to his mother, Max’s first baked good was a Victoria sponge, which he tried when he was younger.
Max is a “self-taught baker, but has been inspired by his nan, mum, and favourite TV chef, Gordon Ramsay,” according to the official Great British Bake Off website.
Max loves the “step-by-step of baking and compares it to Lego,” according to his profile.
“Max is well-known for his chocolate chip cookies at home, and he gets very honest feedback from his younger siblings,” Louise continued.
Max wants to work as a chef and baker in the culinary industry in the future.
Louise stated: “He wants to establish his baking profile and begin creating his own videos explaining baking techniques.”
“We are really proud of him; he is open to all opportunities.”
