Reasons why Former Maypole pub in Skegby sold for £395k

Plans to convert a former Nottinghamshire pub into a home have been approved. The Maypole in Skegby will be transformed into a four-bedroom property.

The pub in Dawgates Lane was put on the market for around £395,000 after its closure in June 2023. It was bought by Susan Ronaldson and Nigel Dickerson, whose plans were given the green light by Ashfield District Council.

There will be four bedrooms altogether when the current living room upstairs is converted to a bedroom. The living area, kitchen, dining room, utility room, bathroom, and study will all be located downstairs.

The property’s use as a tavern came to an end when it was bought with the restriction that it could not be used for commercial reasons. There won’t be any construction of an addition or alteration to the pub’s exterior.
