A man in his 70s has died after the car he was driving left the A47 following a medical episode this afternoon.
The East of England Ambulance Service said a man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash at Wendling, between Swaffham and Dereham.
A spokesperson said they were called to the collision just before 1.30pm with reports that a vehicle had left the road and crashed on the A47.
Three ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and the Norfolk Accident Rescue Service were sent to the scene.
At 1.20pm today, emergency services were summoned after a car drove off the A47 near Wendling and collided with a hedge.
Police, fire, and ambulance workers responded to the situation, and the route between Scarning and Wendling was closed.
A spokesperson for the East of England Ambulance Service stated that the car’s driver, an adult male, died at the site.
