Tributes paid to the death of a wonderful Swaffham man

Andrew Gooch, 53, was driving a red Vauxhall Zafira when it collided with a JCB tractor on the A1075 near Stow Bedon, on March 9.

The inquiry into his death began this week at Norfolk Coroner’s Court. According to reports, Mr Gooch was a father of three who worked as a plasterer and lived in Swaffham.

At the hearing, the senior coroner, Jaqueline Lake, stated that his official cause of death was multiple trauma from a traffic collision.

The crash happened just before 7am and Mr Gooch, who was born in Southend, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A guy in his twenties was arrested on suspicion of causing death by risky driving, and a police investigation is ongoing.

Mr Gooch’s funeral was place at Breckland Crematorium on April 12, and family members paid tribute to him on Facebook.

His wife Kelly Gooch described him as a “wonderful, funny, amazing man,” while his brother Tony Gooch wrote that “Andy will live on through his beautiful children.”
