Swindon Town have confirmed the loan signing of Dawson Devoy from MK Dons for the remainder of the 23/24 season, pending approval from the EFL.
The 22-year-old midfielder began his career with League of Ireland Premier side Bohemians in 2019 and quickly made a name for himself.
During his three seasons at Bohemians, Devoy was a regular feature in both domestic league matches and European competitions, including the UEFA Europa Conference League.
His impressive performances did not go unnoticed, as he was named the PFAI Young Player of the Year and included in the PFAI Team of the Year in 2021.
Subject to EFL approval, Swindon Town has confirmed that Dawson Devoy from MK Dons has signed a loan deal to play for them for the remainder of the 23–24 season.
The 22-year-old midfielder gained notoriety fast after joining League of Ireland Premier team Bohemians in 2019.
Devoy played a major role in both domestic league games and European competitions, such as the UEFA Europa Conference League, during his three seasons at Bohemians.
He was included in the PFAI Team of the Year in 2021 and was named the PFAI Young Player of the Year, demonstrating that his outstanding performances were not unnoticed.
Devoy’s accomplishments at Bohemians also opened doors for recognition abroad. For the Republic of Ireland Under-21 team, he received seven caps.
His success in Ireland prompted a transfer to MK Dons, where he has played in the third division of England for more than 30 games.
Devoy has made 14 appearances for MK Dons this season, scoring one goal and dishing out three assists.
