The League Two trio are all looking to snap up the defender on a free transfer this summer. He has recently been released by Notts County and will officially become a free agent at the end of the month.
Brindley, 31, will be weighing up his options in the game and doesn’t appear to be short of options in the Football League. He has spent the past five years at Meadow Lane and has been a good servant to the Magpies.
However, his time with Stuart Maynard’s side has come to an end and he needs to find himself a new home for the upcoming 2024/25 campaign. According to journalist O’Rourke on X, Swindon Town, Colchester United and Bromley are all now interested in snapping him up for nothing.
Brindley started his career at Norwich City and rose up through the academy ranks at Carrow Road.
He never made a senior appearance for the Canaries though and left as a youngster to have permanent spells at Chelmsford City and Chesterfield.
After signing with Rotherham United, the right-back played for the South Yorkshire team for two years, spending some of that time on loan at Colchester United, Oxford United, and Scunthorpe United.
The latter are being linked with him again now and ended up signing him permanently in 2015.
Brindley then had stints at Barnet and Bromley before linking up with Notts County in 2019.
He helped the Magpies gain promotion from the National League last year along with Wrexham.
