Another impressive month for Young who scored six goals, including a match-winning brace in Town’s 2-1 home victory over Mansfield will be looking to pick up his second award of the 2023/24 season.
The winner will be announced at 6am this coming Friday (8 December).
The 22-year-old will come up against the following players in the hope of receiving the latest monthly award of the 2023/24 season:
Ali Al-Hamadi (AFC Wimbledon) – striker
The Iraq international’s captivating directness makes him impossible to stop. He scored four goals in three games, including braces against Doncaster and Notts County, thanks to his deft footwork, driving intent, and desire to fire at every opportunity.
Rob Apter (Tranmere Rovers) – winger
Apter, a former Tranmere academy product on loan from Blackpool, has flourished under Nigel Adkins. He scored four goals in four games for Tranmere, despite playing on the right and jinking inside to shoot at every opportunity.
George Ray (Barrow) – central defender
Ray, who was dominant in the air and an immovable rock at the heart of a Barrow defence that allowed only two goals in four games, pushed forward in November to cause havoc from set pieces, adding three goals and an assist.
